Description

This webinar covers the range of motivations that push many whistleblowers to speak out-as well as common (usually false) narratives used by their organizations to attack them. While researching a book on whistleblowing, the presenter interviewed more than 200 whistleblowers, as well as hundreds of experts in social psychology, law and related fields. In these cases, the whistleblowers’ higher loyalties, skepticism about charismatic leaders and lack of tolerance for institutional hypocrisy all figured prominently in their choices and actions.

In this webinar, you will hear more about these motivations and how organizations can support and improve whistleblowing. Significantly, companies with robust and widely used whistleblower hotlines have a better record of fewer lawsuits and fines for wrongdoing.
