Description

Money mules, as defined by the U.S. Department of Justice, are people who, at someone else’s direction, receive and move money obtained from victims of fraud. Research conducted by NICE Actimize shows that 59% of new account and application fraud are mules and 53% of financial institutions see mules as one of the top five challenges they face today. Consequently, money mules are a growing concern as traditional payments monitoring systems often don’t detect money mule movements.

In this on-demand webinar, Rob Rendell, Global Head of Fraud Market Strategy & Fraud Prevention at NICE Actimize, and Anurag Mohapatra, Senior Product Manager, discuss a new typology-centric approach to mule defense and why real-time detection throughout the customer life cycle is a necessary approach to fraud strategy.
