Where to Start: Advanced Preparation
To get the most out of the Review Course, we encourage you to do some studying in advance with the CFE Exam Prep Course software. To access your download or online course, log in to My Learning and Resources. Before you begin the Prep Course, please refer to the course guidebook for additional information.
A Month Before the Review Course: Apply for the CFE Exam
If you have not previously submitted a CFE Exam application, the deadline for submitting your application is two weeks prior to the course start date. A completed CFE Exam application is required to take the CFE Exam. Submit your CFE Exam application online and visit the Certification Portal at ACFE.com/CertificationPortal to submit your supporting documentation.
At the Review Course: Things to Know
- The seminar officially begins with registration at 7:30 a.m.
- Class will begin at 8:00 a.m. and conclude at 4:25 p.m. Monday-Wednesday; on Thursday, class will start at 8:00 a.m. and conclude at 3:25 p.m.
- Continental breakfast and continuous beverage service will be available daily.
- Networking lunches will be provided on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Please arrange for your own lunch on Thursday.
- You will be given an agenda and course materials at registration.
- Please consult the staff at the front desk of the hotel for the location of the class.
As a CFE Exam Review Course attendee, you have the option of taking the CFE Exam on-site. The exam will be given Monday-Wednesday from 4:30-6:30 p.m. and Thursday from 3:30-5:30 p.m. If you are interested in sitting for the exam while on-site, please submit your exam application and upload your supporting documents at least two weeks prior to the start date of class. Your Review Course registration includes the application fee.
Please note: In order to take the CFE Exam, you must be a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE). and have an approved exam application. If you aren’t a member yet, join today.
The CFE Exam Review Course, like all ACFE in-person events, is designed to foster interaction with instructors and fellow attendees. Dress is casual; leave your ties and heels at home. You may want to bring a light jacket or sweater for the classroom since hotel air conditioning is sometimes difficult to adjust to everyone's comfort.
If you are planning on taking the CFE Exam on-site, please bring your government-issued ID.
If you have registered for the Review Course and are unable to attend, you must cancel your registration prior to the first day of the event in order to get a refund.
Cancellations received less than 14 calendar days prior to the start date of a CFE Exam Review Course are subject to a $250 cancellation fee. Cancellations received within one week prior to the CFE Exam Review Course start date are subject to a $500 cancellation fee. No refunds or credits will be given for cancellations received on or after the start date of the event. Those who do not cancel and do not attend are responsible for the full registration fee.
