Understanding the Mindset of a Fraudster

Once a fraud scandal goes public, the “what, when, where and how” become a matter of public record. But what about the “why”? What drives these individuals to lie, cheat and swindle? Understanding the path a fraudster takes from employee to criminal can provide valuable insight that can help strengthen your anti-fraud initiatives and make your fraud examinations more successful.

Take a fascinating look inside the mind of a fraudster during this 1-day ACFE course.  Through discussions of human behavior, video interviews with convicted fraudsters and interactive problem-solving, you will gain a deeper understanding of motivations and personality traits common to many fraudsters.

Government Fraud

A single case of occupational fraud costs government organizations a median $138,000, according to the ACFE’s Occupational Fraud 2022: A Report to the Nations. The fraud risks they face can vary greatly from those in the private sector. Fraud examiners must understand the many types of fraud that affect government organizations including public corruption, contract fraud, performance schemes, beneficiary frauds and false claims.

This 2-day ACFE seminar will provide methods to assess, prevent and detect the various forms of government fraud so that you can protect your organization from the damages caused by these devastating schemes.
