Do you want to take a paper-and-pencil version of the CFE Exam? Following the ACFE Global Fraud Conference at the Seattle Convention Center, prospective CFEs have the opportunity to take the CFE Exam on paper in a quiet, controlled environment free of daily distractions.
This event is exclusively for ACFE members with approved CFE Exam Applications who wish to complete the CFE Exam in two days. Each day, two sections of the exam will be administered in person by ACFE staff, with results provided immediately upon completion.

Exam dates and times are as follows:

Thursday, June 15, 2023
  • Investigation: 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
  • Law: 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Friday, June 16, 2023
  • Financial Transactions and Fraud Schemes: 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
  • Fraud Prevention and Deterrence: 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

This registration includes eligibility to take each section of the CFE Exam one time on paper; no refunds or discounts will be issued if all four sections are not attempted onsite. You are not required to take all four exams and will not be permitted to take any exam sections you have already passed. You will be asked to confirm each exam appointment before the event. Lunch will not be provided between exam sessions.

*All registrants must have an active membership and an approved CFE Exam application on file before the event to be eligible for the on-site exam. Registrations may be automatically cancelled if these conditions are not met*


Exam & Event Policy

Registrants must have an approved CFE Exam Application on file by June 1, 2023, to be eligible to take the CFE Exam on-site. You will not be permitted to apply for the CFE Exam on location. Registrations may be automatically cancelled if this condition is not met. Active Associate membership with the ACFE is required. An unexpired, government-issued photo ID is necessary to test. Should an event be cancelled or postponed by the ACFE due to unforeseen circumstances, the ACFE will process a full refund of registration fees within 30 days of such circumstances becoming known. The ACFE will attempt to notify affected customers by phone and email after it determines cancellation is necessary.
