Have you ever had an interviewee tell you that they didn't have time to sit down with you or that they weren't the right person to talk to? Have they ever withheld information from you? Reluctance to cooperate is something interviewers face when conducting fraud examinations. In this webinar, you will learn different ways to address reluctance, ease tension and anxiety, and influence perceptions in order to enhance your ability to collect the information you need.
Prerequisites
Basic interview in class or appropriate experience with Interviewing individuals.

Develop techniques to shift excuses into rapport building opportunities.
Recall the consistency principle, as illustrated by Dr. Robert Cialdini in the book Influence: The Psychology of Persuasion.
Evaluate methods to increase psychological safety.
Assess the effects of emotional labeling as it relates to reluctance.
Integrate "I" messages into your rapport building efforts to reduce reluctance.

Event Cancellation Policy
Our cancellation policy is intended to keep costs low for attendees. Due to financial obligations incurred by ACFE, Inc., you must cancel your registration prior to the start of the event. Cancellations received less than 14 calendar days prior to an event start date are subject to a $100 administrative fee. No refunds or credits will be given for cancellations received on or after the start date of the event. Those who do not cancel and do not attend are responsible for the full registration fee. Should an event be cancelled or postponed by the ACFE due to unforeseen circumstances, the ACFE will process a full refund of registration fees within 30 days of such circumstances becoming known. The ACFE will attempt to notify affected customers by phone and email after it determines cancellation is necessary.
