Nominate Fellow Fraud Fighters for the 2026 ACFE Awards

The ACFE is proud to recognize members who have displayed exceptional achievement in preventing, detecting, and investigating fraud with its annual ACFE awards. These awards include Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) of the Year, Educator of the Year and Chapter of the Year.   

The nomination period is now OPEN.

Certified Fraud Examiner of the Year

 The Certified Fraud Examiner of the Year Award is presented to a CFE who has demonstrated outstanding achievement in the field of fraud examination in the past year. Nominees must be a CFE in good standing who significantly contributed to any of the following in 2025: 

  • The investigation(s) of significant fraud(s) in their work.
  • The design and installation of fraud risk management programs or anti-fraud controls.
  • The broader anti-fraud profession through education, innovation, research, etc.

Educator of the Year

The Educator of the Year Award is presented to an ACFE member teaching in a college or university who has made an outstanding contribution in anti-fraud education. Factors that will be considered in selecting the recipient are:

  • Anti-fraud curriculum development efforts at his/her college or university.
  • Anti-fraud education guidance for students and impact on guiding students toward the anti-fraud profession.
  • Influence in encouraging anti-fraud educational growth, training and classroom offerings at his/her college or university; and
  • Publications and professional accomplishments.

Chapter of the Year

The Chapter of the Year Award goes to (2) chapters that exemplify excellence in advancing the mission of the ACFE. Winning chapters are active, in good standing, and demonstrate outstanding performance in the following areas:

  • Provides timely, high-quality fraud training and networking opportunities.
  • Demonstrates strong member engagement and community impact.
  • Promotes the ACFE and CFE credential through innovative outreach.
  • Builds partnerships that advance fraud prevention and education.
