Coach: When did you receive your CFE credential?
Ward: I received my CFE credential on October 24, 2012.

Coach: You attended the CFE Exam Review Course in New York, and following the course, you sat for the CFE Exam on-site. Please describe your experience of participating in the 3½-day course and then sitting for the exam immediately after.
Ward: When I arrived at the course in New York, I had no idea what to expect. Upon my arrival, I received a warm greeting from ACFE team members. The 3½-day course was very intense and a significant amount of course material was covered in a short time. Like most people who attended the course, I was not accustomed to sitting in a classroom environment for eight hours. However, I was able to overcome that challenge because of the way the ACFE presented the course material. If you study the course material and take the practice tests, the presentations/lectures you receive at the course will help you tremendously to pass the exams. I really liked the fact that I had the opportunity to take the test after the classroom presentations. This option was attractive to me because it afforded me the opportunity to take the exams while the course material and class discussions were still fresh.

Coach: What did you like most about the CFE Exam Review Course?
Ward: I enjoyed the interaction with other professionals in the career field, as well as listening to and learning from their experiences.

Coach: In what ways do you feel that your new CFE credential will be beneficial to you in your current profession?
Ward: I believe my CFE credential will give me credibility with my peers, businesses we support, and other professionals.

Coach: How did you prepare yourself to sit for the exam on-site? Did you spend any additional time studying after class each day?
Ward: Prior to the live course, I reviewed some of the material from the CFE prep software I downloaded from the ACFE website. Because of the operations tempo at my job, I was not able to spend as much time preparing for the course as planned. Because of that, I spent several hours after class preparing for the next day.

Coach: Will you continue using the CFE Exam Prep Course as a reference tool?
Ward: Yes. It’s a great resource.

Coach: Would you recommend this course to your colleagues?
Ward: Yes. In fact, several of my colleagues will be attending the course in the coming months.

Coach: Do you have any study tips or suggestions for aspiring CFEs?
Ward: I highly recommend aspiring CFEs to start preparing for the course at least three months prior to attending the on-site course. I would also recommend taking the practice exams as frequently as possible in preparation for the on-site exams.

Coach: Thank you for your time and congratulations on your new CFE credential.
