Andi McNeal, CFE, CPA

Association of Certified Fraud Examiners
Andi McNeal, CFE, CPA, is the
Director of Research for the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, where
she oversees the development and production of educational materials related to
the prevention, detection, and investigation of fraud. Ms. McNeal is co-author
of the ACFE Report to the Nations on
Occupational Fraud and Abuse, a bi-annual report on the costs and effects
of occupational fraud. Additionally, she is the author of the recurring “What’s
Your Fraud IQ?” article series in the Journal
of Accountancy and has authored numerous other fraud-related articles
published in the CPA Journal, Internal Auditor, and Fraud Magazine. Ms. McNeal previously
served as the lecturer for the Fraud Examination course at the University of
Texas.
Prior to joining the staff of the ACFE
in 2004, Ms. McNeal worked as a Certified Public Accountant at a regional
accounting firm in Jacksonville, Florida, where she performed audit, tax, and
consulting services for small-business clients in a variety of industries.
Ms. McNeal graduated magna cum
laude from Flagler College with her bachelor’s of arts in accounting. She also
holds a master’s of accountancy from the University of North Florida. She is a
past recipient of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants’
Excellence Award, and is currently a member of the American Institute of Certified
Public Accountants and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
