The Association of Certified Fraud Examiners ("ACFE") respects your privacy and we are committed to protecting it through our compliance with this notice. This Privacy Notice applies only to the ACFE Mobile Application (the “Application") you are currently accessing. This notice describes the types of information we may collect from you or that you may provide when you use the Application and our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting and disclosing information.
We only have access to/collect information that you voluntarily give us through this Application. We are the sole owners of the information collected on this Application. We will not share your information with any third party outside of our organization, other than as necessary to fulfill your request (e.g. to ship an order), except that exhibitors at ACFE conferences may be permitted a one-time, physical mailing to conference attendees. In such cases we will only provide your mailing address as listed in the ACFE database – we will not distribute your phone number or email address.
Types of personal information we collect includes:This information is collected when you: purchase or order products, create an account, participate in interactive features of this Application, sign up for emails or mobile messages, provide us with comments or other input, participate in discussion groups.
Your consentBy using this Application, you are consenting to our processing of your information including but not limited to, collecting, storing, deleting, using, combining and disclosing information, as set forth in this Privacy Notice now and as amended. If you reside outside of the U.S. your information will be transferred to the U.S. and processed and stored there under U.S. privacy standards. By using this Application and providing information to us, you consent to such transfer to, and processing in, the U.S. If you no longer want this Application to collect and use information about you, you must uninstall the Application using the standard uninstall processes available as part of your mobile device.
Children Under the Age of 13
This Application is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
