Ex-CIA Agent, Former UK SFO Director to Keynote 2025 ACFE Women's Summit

The fifth annual event will bring together anti-fraud professionals for a day of learning and networking.
AUSTIN, Texas (February 13, 2025) — Anti-fraud professionals will discuss trending industry topics and common challenges women face in their careers during the 2025 ACFE Women's Summit. The annual event, organized by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), will be held in Washington, D.C. and online. Former Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) agent Rupal Patel and former head of the U.K. Serious Fraud Office (SFO) Lisa Osofsky will serve as keynote speakers.
Rupal Patel's career at the CIA involved advising four-star generals, including earning War Zone Service Medals and receiving recognition from the CIA director for "superior support to the President of the United States." After her tenure at the CIA, Patel went on to earn her MBA and start her own business. She is now a consultant and executive advisor for corporations and a frequent speaker. She also brings her experiences to elite business schools across the U.S. and U.K., where she serves as visiting faculty. Patel's keynote session, titled "Closing the Confidence and Visibility Gaps for Women," will focus on self-promotion tools women can use to drive their careers forward in the face of challenges.
Lisa Osofsky spent five years as the director of the SFO, where she prosecuted white-collar crime offenders, helping fight fraud, corruption and money laundering. She is now partner and managing director of AlixPartners. As a risk advisory, investigations and compliance expert, Osofsky has spent parts of her career as a corporate compliance monitor, money laundering reporting officer, ethics advisor and more at organizations such as the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Goldman Sachs International. For her keynote session, Osofsky will look back at her career and the evolution of fraud investigators' roles over the past 30 years.
