2025 ACFE Fraud Conference Europe to Feature Ex-FIFA Committee Chairman, OCCRP Co-Founder, Hacker Turned CISO and More.

The three-day hybrid event features multiple tracks of educational sessions highlighting the latest trends, tools and techniques for fraud prevention, deterrence and investigation.

AUSTIN, Texas (February 21, 2025) — Anti-fraud professionals from around Europe will gather in person and online to hear from engaging speakers on fraud topics in technology, sports, banking and more at the 2025 ACFE Fraud Conference Europe. The annual event, organized by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), will take place March 24–26, 2025 in London and virtually.

Keynote sessions will be led by:

  • Monica Verma, CISO, QTE, a former hacker turned top mind in cybersecurity, AI and leadership.
  • Miguel Poiares Maduro, the former chairman of the FIFA Governance and Review Committee. Maduro's session will bring attendees into the world of fraud and corruption in sports and discuss how investors, regulators and sports organizations can help protect the integrity of sports.
  • Paul Radu, the co-founder and head of innovation at the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP). Radu will discuss his recent investigative projects, including examining the infrastructure that enables cross-border collaboration in fraud cases.
  • Jason Williams, the interim joint head of fraud, bribery and corruption at the U.K.'s Serious Fraud Office (SFO).
  • Michael Levi, Ph.D., a professor of criminology at Cardiff University whose research focuses on the links between white-collar and organized crime.

Breakout sessions will cover trending topics such as:

  • E-commerce fraud.
  • Using AI for advanced fraud examination.
  • Managing conflicts of interest to minimize fraud.
  • How to spot cash-based accounting frauds.
  • Green fraud.
