Description
Financial institutions have always been a target for criminals. But in this age of technological advancements and increases in organized criminal activity, financial institutions find it difficult to stay ahead of fraudsters. Add to this the significant industry regulations, it becomes clear that you must maintain constant vigilance to detect and prevent fraud at banks and other financial institutions.
This seminar will address challenges and solutions related to fraud and financial institutions, including cyberfraud and privacy issues. Relevant regulations, such as anti-money laundering laws and practices will be addressed, along with related and applicable anti-fraud solutions.

Identify common fraud schemes particular to financial institutions, including loan fraud and check fraud
Comply with applicable laws and regulations, including the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, Bank Secrecy Act and the USA PATRIOT Act
Implement Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) best practices
Identify the warning signs of insider embezzlement
Secure data to prevent data and identity theft
Perform due diligence and prevention
Establish fraud risk assessments and an anti-fraud framework

Event Cancellation Policy
Our cancellation policy is intended to keep costs low for attendees. Due to financial obligations incurred by ACFE, Inc., you must cancel your registration prior to the start of the event. Cancellations received less than 14 calendar days prior to an event start date are subject to a $100 administrative fee. No refunds or credits will be given for cancellations received on or after the start date of the event. Those who do not cancel and do not attend are responsible for the full registration fee. Should an event be cancelled or postponed by the ACFE due to unforeseen circumstances, ACFE will process a full refund of registration fees within 30 days of such circumstances becoming known. The ACFE will attempt to notify affected customers by phone and email after it determines cancellation is necessary.
