Blaze the trail with the latest anti-fraud techniques and tools at the 36th Annual ACFE Global Fraud Conference

This year’s ACFE Global Fraud Conference in June unites thousands of fraud fighters in-person in Nashville, Tennessee, and virtually to learn about the latest topics and techniques from leaders in the anti-fraud field and hear from world-class keynote speakers.

More than 5,500 anti-fraud professionals from around the world are expected to gather for the 36th Annual ACFE Global Fraud Conference in the U.S.’s country music capital city, Nashville, Tennessee, and virtually, June 22–27. Fraud fighters will be able to network with the best and brightest in the field while earning up to 40 continuing professional education (CPE) credits, taking in more than 90 educational sessions, including pre-conference and post-conference sessions, and learning from more than 100 subject-matter experts. Here’s a sneak peek of what’s planned for this year’s event.

ACFE News 36th Annual Fraud ConferenceKnown for her tireless work as a Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative journalist, Marina Walker Guevara managed two of the most significant collaborations of reporters in journalism history while deputy director of the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists: the Panama Papers and the Paradise Papers. Her success in uniting hundreds of international journalists to comb through vast amounts of leaked financial data led to the exposure of fraud, corruption and crime across the globe. Walker Guevara currently serves as executive editor of the Pulitzer Center, which supports in-depth journalism globally. A champion of large-scale media collaboration to expand reach and impact, Walker Guevara will be honored with the ACFE’s Guardian Award, presented annually to a journalist whose contributions have exposed acts of fraud and white-collar crime.

ACFE News 36th Annual Fraud ConferenceCementing her place in history as the first woman and the first African to serve as director-general of the World Trade Organization, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala is a prominent figure in the global fight against corruption and a distinguished economist with more than 40 years of experience in global finance and development. While she served as Nigeria’s finance minister, she led reforms to enhance financial transparency and reduce corruption within the government by implementing innovative financial management systems. As managing director of operations in the World Bank, she spearheaded initiatives to support low-income countries during the global financial crisis, promoting financial integrity and transparency. She’s highly regarded internationally for her ability to build consensus and negotiate deals that promote integrity and fairness within government and the private sector. Okonjo-Iweala is this year’s recipient of the ACFE’s highest honor, the Cressey Award, which honors a lifetime of achievement in the detection and deterrence of fraud.

Her engaging, entertaining take on schemes, scammers and cons has earned her podcast industry accolades and awards, including Best Overall Host Award at the 2024 iHeart Podcast Awards. Author of “Scam Goddess: Lessons from a Life of Cons, Grifts, and Schemes,” Mosley stars in Freeform’s TV series, “Scam Goddess,” available to stream on Hulu. In the series, she travels around the U.S. and confronts fraudsters involved in Ponzi schemes, religious scams and more.

90+ educational sessions

More than 100 experienced, highly regarded speakers will be leading educational sessions, providing attendees with an impressive catalog of sessions to choose from. The sessions cover topics such as fraud risk management techniques, AI-powered fraud tools used on the dark web, leveraging ChatGPT to fuel professional growth and business impact, identifying indicators of money laundering in criminal investigations, romance scams, nonprofit fraud and the role of open-source intelligence (OSINT) in modern investigations.

In-person attendees may also take a deep dive into specific educational topics through the comprehensive instruction of the pre-conference (June 22) and post-conference (June 26–27) seminars. Pre-conference sessions focus on winning the fight against fraud and compliance risks and the intersection of organized crime and fraud. Post-conference attendees can learn more about conducting internal investigations and developing an integrated anti-fraud, compliance and ethics program.

Virtual attendees will also have opportunities to ask questions and network with fellow fraud fighters — all from the comfort of a location of their choosing.
