Coach: When did you receive your CFE credential?
Paletta: I received my CFE Certificate in November 2012.

Coach: You attended the CFE Exam Review Course in New York, and following the course, you sat for the CFE Exam onsite. Please describe your experience of participating in the 3½-day course and then sitting for the exam immediately after.
Paletta: What impressed me from the start was the diversity and stature of the organizations that were represented by the participants, along with the credentials and experience of the instructors. The actual class was extremely helpful and well organized. All of the ACFE staff had a sincere interest in seeing everyone succeed. Being able to take the test onsite after class was intense, but very satisfying. It enabled you to report your progress back to family and colleagues as each part was passed, and then focus on the next goal.

Coach: What did you like most about the CFE Exam Review Course?
Paletta: The instructors were excellent. They provided concise, condensed information relating to the four areas of the test, along with test taking tips. They also added humor and personal experiences to keep it interesting.

Coach: In what ways do you feel that your new CFE credential will be beneficial to you in your current profession?
Paletta: Fraud prevention and investigations is a growing area of interest. Gaining certification in this area will lead to increased opportunities and add to the credibility of reporting.

Coach: How did you prepare yourself to sit for the exam onsite? Did you spend any additional time studying after class each day?
Paletta: Before attending the review course, I completed the practice questions and practice tests included in the CFE Exam Prep Course software. I referenced the Fraud Examiners Manual as needed when completing the practice questions. After class, I would review questions in my areas of weakness.

Coach: Will you continue using the CFE Exam Prep Course as a reference tool?
Paletta: Yes, I have already referenced the Fraud Examiners Manual to assist me in creating work papers and reports in my current projects.

Coach: Would you recommend this course to your colleagues?
Paletta: Yes, I already have. It is clear that the instructors have one goal in mind, and that is to help you succeed. They provide constant encouragement.

Coach: Do you have any study tips or suggestions for aspiring CFEs?
Paletta: Completing the practice questions and practice tests before hand was a great help. Being able to focus on the exam for 3½ days, while gaining knowledge and tips from the instructors, led to a successful outcome.

Coach: Thank you for your time and congratulations on your new CFE credential.
