Description

Six Channel Analysis in Realtime (SCAnR) is a scientific approach to detecting truth and lies from behavior. There is no single indicator of deception. However, in clusters of three across two or the six communication channels — voice, content, style, face, body and psychophysiology — within seven seconds of a question, this approach is achieving consistent 90%+ reliability.

In this on-demand webinar, you will explore SCAnR and how it can be applied in fraud investigations.

Dr. Cliff Lansley - Speaker

lansley-cliff

Dr. Cliff Lansley is currently on sabbatical (2018) from EIA Group, completing a Ph.D. by Research in Emotional Intelligence (EI) as part of his pro-bono work to get emotional skills and competencies into early-year education. For 26 years, he has worked as Governor of an ‘Outstanding’ primary school that is now credited as a National Teaching School as a beacon operation and incubator to help develop other schools and their staff.

Dr. Lansley retired as CEO of Development Processes Group PLC (DPG) in 2008, a company he founded with a government research grant to develop competent-based approaches and diagnostic tools for leaders, managers and HR professionals. Following DPG, he pursued his passion in EI and joined the research community to help convince leaders, police, teachers, social workers, et al. that EI is not a soft skill — but a key differentiator between competence and excellence. He founded the Emotional Intelligence Academy in 2008.

He draws on his experience as a business leader, educationalist and psychologist to leverage scientific research and contribute to the excellent work being done by Mayer, Salovey, Caruso, Bar-On, Goleman, etc., possibly towards a new taxonomy and diagnostic methodology for EI that can stand up to the conflict and critiques across existing models. He has served as a behaviour consultant, expert analyst and advisor for many television programs including with the BBC and Warner Brothers Discovery, where his analysis is central to “Faking It: Tears of a Crime” that is now in its seventh series on Discovery+. Dr. Lansley is also a regular conference speaker, keynote and consultant for organizations such as the ACFE, NISA, IBA, ABRESCE, SRI and many others.

Dr. Lansley’s first honours degree was in education (psychology) with the University of Manchester, which he did post-experience while employed as a lecturer in leadership and management in higher education, following ten years in the industry. His own research into EI has drawn him into working with a range of international security, intelligence and law enforcement agencies and businesses to help to integrate EI research into their approaches and skillsets. One facet of this followed the theme of “Getting to the Truth,” which has been published in peer review journals and in his most recent book under that title.
