ACFE Ethics CPE

Description

After Toby Groves’ older brother was sentenced to prison for bank fraud, Groves promised his father and himself that he would never get into the same trouble. Several years later, however, Groves began attempts to save his once-successful mortgage brokerage firm through a series of frauds and cover-ups. By 2008, he was convicted of a multimillion-dollar fraud scheme and served two years in federal prison.

Since his release in 2010, Groves dedicated himself to researching the psychology of fraud and crime, earning a Ph.D. in the process.

In this webinar, Groves will share the story of his rise and fall and the powerful lessons he has learned about human behavior, ethics and why even good people make devastating choices.

*The ACFE does not compensate convicted fraudsters.
