Whether a case is headed toward civil litigation, criminal prosecution or an insurance claim, your investigative approach must be structured to meet the evidentiary, procedural and strategic needs unique to each pathway. You must develop a clear plan, maintain proper documentation and chain of custody, and evaluate potential legal avenues as evidence unfolds. In addition, the investigation team must understand court procedures and the options available for insurance recovery, including potential challenges.
