Investigators and auditors traditionally have different lenses through which they view their work. The investigator is focused on the subject, while the auditor is focused more on data and artifacts. Additionally, investigators place a high degree of weight on testimonial evidence, whereas in the auditing field, testimonial evidence is considered the least reliable. Getting investigators and auditors to understand each other’s world view is critical to ensuring an organization achieves maximum benefit.
This webinar explores the differences between investigators and auditors by reviewing case studies and discussing steps to ensure that the investigative and audit function cooperate successfully, with a focus on data analytics. By designing data analytics appropriately, organizations can have one set of metrics that serves multiple purposes.
