Student members invited to apply for annual conference scholarships

The ACFE scholarship award committee encourages all student members to apply for free main conference registrations to the 29th Annual ACFE Global Fraud Conference, June 17-22 in Las Vegas, Nevada. “Here’s a wonderful opportunity for budding fraud examiners to learn anti-fraud principles and network with experts and practitioners from around the world,” said ACFE Vice President and Program Director Bruce Dorris, J.D., CFE, CPA, CVA.

A free registration to the Main Conference (June 18-20) includes access to breakout and general sessions, networking receptions and the ACFE’s Career Connection plus two ACFE polo shirts. In return, students will be required to assist the ACFE staff in various areas during the conference.

To be eligible, ACFE student members must email the following to Dinora Soto at DSoto@ACFE.com by March 15:

• A statement of 400 words or less describing the way in which the applicant’s academic and career interests relate to the anti-fraud profession.
• A letter of recommendation written by a professor or employer who’s familiar with the applicant’s work and career interests. The letter must be submitted on official institutional/company letterhead with a visible signature.

Travel, lodging and dining expenses outside of the meals provided at the conference aren’t included in the scholarship. Recipients will be selected and notified by April 12, 2018.
