ACFE members recently elected Martha R. McVeigh, CFE, and Jonathan E. Turner, CFE, CII, to the 2009-2010 Board of Regents. Certified members chose them from a list of six candidates.
The Board of Regents sets standards to promote professionalism and ensure the reputation of the CFE credential.
The two new Regents, who hold two-year terms, took office at the Board's February meeting at the ACFE headquarters in Austin, Texas. They replaced retiring members George P. Farragher, CFE, CPA, and Richard F. Woodford Jr., JD, CFE.
"My great thanks go to George and Richard," said Joseph T. Wells, CFE, CPA, Chairman and founder of the ACFE. "They volunteered their time and gave us their leadership, and the whole membership should appreciate that. We welcome Martha and Jonathan and look forward to further building the ACFE through their efforts."
