• Nominations Committee

    Thank you for your interest in serving on an ACFE Committee. The application process is open from October 1, 2016 to December 1, 2016.



    Chapter Awards Committee Purpose
    The purpose of the Nominations Committee is to select qualified candidates as nominees to be present on the annual ballot for the Board of Regents election.


    Specific Duties  

    The Nominations Committee is charged with:

    Review all applications for election to the Board of Regents;

    Select qualified candidates to be present on the annual ballot for the Board of Regents election;

    Advise the Board of Regents in establishing and modifying the nominations process to identify qualified candidates; and

    Assume such other functions as deemed necessary by the Board of Regents


    Meetings
    Meetings may be conducted in person or by conference call. The Committee Chair shall give reasonable notice to all Committee members of the place, day, time and purpose or purposes for any Committee meeting.

    Member Qualifications
    Significant experience in the anti-fraud profession; recognized leader or authority in your field; seriously concerned about best practices and learning solutions as demonstrated by speeches, attendance at meetings, or other visible efforts; actively involved in your chapter. Other qualifications include:

    All Committee members shall be a Certified Fraud Examiner in good standing.

    Regularly attends conference calls and important related meetings.

    Makes serious commitment to participate actively in committee work.

    Volunteers for and willingly accepts assignments and completes them thoroughly and on time.

    Stays informed about committee matters, prepares themselves well for meetings, and reviews and comments on minutes and reports.

    Gets to know other committee members and builds a collegial working relationship that contributes to consensus.

    Is an active participant in the committee's annual evaluation and planning efforts.


    Term of Office

    Members of the Committee shall serve staggered five-year terms.
