Law Enforcement Partnership The ACFE is regarded as the foremost authority in the global fight against fraud. In order to increase anti-fraud experience and expertise of law enforcement staff, the ACFE has initiated its Law Enforcement Partnership. Current participants utilizing the benefits offered by ACFE include:

  • The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)
  • The U.S. Postal Inspection Service (USPIS)
  • The U.S. General Accountability Office (GAO)
  • The Department of Defense (DOD)
  • The Integrated Market Enforcement Branch (IMET) of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP)
  • Numerous federal, state and local investigative agencies, both domestic and international

Benefits of the ACFE Law Enforcement Partnership

  • Assistance in recruiting highly qualified anti-fraud personnel for your agency.
    Through the Career Center, employment ads may be posted for your agency at no cost. These ads are viewed by tens of thousands of anti-fraud professionals.
  • Free booth space at the world’s largest anti-fraud conference.
    The ACFE’s Annual Fraud Conference and Exhibition typically draws more than 2,000 attendees. On a space-available basis, a complimentary booth will be provided for recruiting purposes and promoting your agency.
  • No-cost coverage of your agency’s mission in Fraud Magazine.
    Fraud Magazine is read regularly by nearly 45,000 subscribers. Part of the magazine’s mission is to inform its readers of the functions and responsibilities of various law enforcement organizations. Our editor-in-chief will work with you to convey your message to our subscribers.
  • Recognition on the ACFE’s web site as a participant in the Law Enforcement Partnership.
    Convey your agency’s anti-fraud commitment to the thousands of visitors who access the ACFE web site.
  • Discounts on ACFE conferences, seminars and other learning methods.
    The ACFE hosts about 70 conferences and seminars on an annual basis world-wide. Moreover, we offer 25 self-study products on a wide variety of fraud schemes and have recently begun hosting web-based training. As a participant in the ACFE Law Enforcement Partnership, your agency is eligible for a 10% discount on learning events and continuing education products, including the computerized CFE Exam Prep Course.
  • Peer networking with other anti-fraud specialists.
    Networking is one of the most important aspects of keeping up-to-date in the anti-fraud profession. Your agency’s personnel will have the opportunity to participate in the ACFE’s 115 international chapters.
  • Discount on certification.
    As an additional benefit, law enforcement personnel are eligible for a 10% discount on certification.

Requirements for Participation

The only requirement to participate in the ACFE Law Enforcement Partnership is the formal recognition of the Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) credential by:

  • Inclusion of the CFE in preferred hiring qualifications for the agency’s anti-fraud personnel The Certified Fraud Examiner designation is considered the benchmark for anti-fraud professionals. The agency’s employment application should specifically ask whether or not the applicant is a CFE. Moreover, the fact that the CFE carries weight in the agency’s hiring practices should be set forth in recruiting information.
  • Consideration of the CFE for promotional opportunities within the agency
