ACFE members elected Michelle Brown, CFE; Roger Darvall-Stevens, MBA, CFE; and James J. Oakes, CFE, CFCI, to the 2012-2013 Board of Regents. Members chose them from a list of nine candidates.
The Board of Regents sets standards to promote professionalism and ensure the reputation of the CFE credential.
The three new Regents, who hold two-year terms, took office at the board’s February meeting at the ACFE headquarters in Austin, Texas. They replaced Robert Blair, CFE, CGFM; Cynthia Cooper, CFE, CISA; and Joseph L. Ford, CFE.
“My great thanks go to Bob, Cynthia and Joe,” said Dr. Joseph T. Wells, CFE, CPA, Chairman and founder of the ACFE. “The ACFE cannot continue to be the leading anti-fraud association without leaders of this caliber. We welcome Michelle, Roger and James and look forward to further building the ACFE through their efforts.”
