As an ACFE member, you receive many valuable benefits that help to promote your professional and career development. Membership Categories

Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) - Open to current members of the ACFE interested in positioning themselves as leaders in the prevention, detection and deterrence of fraud. The CFE is a globally preferred credential that continues to gain momentum as a symbol of quality in the anti-fraud profession.

Associate- Open to individuals interested in the prevention, detection and deterrence of fraud and fraud-related activities. If you are a professional interested in learning more about fighting fraud, Associate membership with the ACFE provides you with the knowledge, resources and training you need.

Educator Associate - Open to individuals who are employed by an institution of higher learning, as an educator, as your primary means of employment.

Student Associate - Open to undergraduate students enrolled in 9 semester hours (or equivalent*), or graduate students enrolled in 6 semester hours (or equivalent*) in an accredited college or university.

Student applicants may not apply online. Students must fax or mail your application along with your proof of current enrollment.

Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA)
